This year’s 7th Annual NamesCon Global (Jan 29th – Feb 1st) is set to take place in Austin, Texas for the first time, so we’re looking forward to trying some delicious barbecue. And of course, getting face time with domain name investors, buyers, bloggers, and other attendees.

Last year, DomainAgents was recognized as a Top 5 Broker of 2018 by Escrow.com.

This year, we’re excited to announce that our CEO, Ryan McKegney, will be taking the stage as a speaker on Day 1 (Wednesday, Jan 29th). The topic? “What is My Domain Worth”, where Ryan will dive into various different factors that should be considered when pricing your domain name. We get questions like this almost every day at DomainAgents. Why are some domains worth over $1 million, while others are in the 3-4 figure range? It’s a hairy topic with no simple answers, however, the examples and top tips that will be covered should give attendees a clearer picture of how to navigate domain valuation. There’s also a bonus question and answer period at the end to get into deeper discussions. Take your lunch to-go and drop by the Registry Office Breakout Stage at 12pm! 

It will be interesting to see how the change in venue impacts the 4-day event. It looks like a packed event with plenty of speakers and workshops to explore, but we’re particularly excited to check out these sessions:  

  • Jan 29th: Domain Insights and Trends Reporting by ParkLogic’s Michael Gilmour
  • Jan 30th: GoDaddy’s new CEO, Aman Bhutani, will be taking the stage as a keynote speaker
  • Jan 30th: How to Get the Full Value from Your Domain, a panel discussion moderated by Bill Sweetman, featuring Dave Warmuz (CEO at Above.com), Negar Hajikhani (Broker at Sedo GmbH), Marco Hoffmann (Head of Domain Services & Product Management at InternetX), and Adam Wagner (Account Manager at Parking Crew)
  • Jan 31st: Gen Z and Startups in Austin by Vice President of Strategic Alliances at WP Engine, Lisa Box
  • Jan 31st: The Power of Domains in Ecommerce and Social Media by Haseeb Tariq of The Walt Disney Company
