NamesCon Online is back this Wednesday, January 27th and there will be lots of opportunities to learn and socialize. The conference is live and online, so the timing of the sessions will depend on your local time zone. Here are some of the sessions that have caught our eye. The full agenda is online here.
Wednesday, January 27th
State of the Industry: Corporate Leaders
2020 was a year like no other, so it will be interesting to get the perspective of leaders from some of the industries biggest companies.
We’re Richer Together: Fractional Ownership as an Asset Class
Fractional ownership has been a buzzy topic for a couple of years now but has yet to really gain traction. Will 2021 be the year that it does?
Domain Investors Journey
We’re interested in this one because Michael Mann is a part of the panel. He’s one of the most successful domain investors of all time and he’s known for his strong opinions.
Thursday, January 28th
State of the Industry: Brokers
Domain brokers have a bird’s eye view of what’s happening with domain sales and some of the best will be reporting on what they’re seeing heading into 2021.
Lonnie Borck Memorial Award
This will be a short session to recognize someone who has made great contributions to the domain industry. We also expect that it will be a great time to be on the social channels as people come online to congratulate the winner.
Friday, January 29th
State of the Industry: Domain Investors
What are actual domain investors seeing? Their take will probably be a bit different than the related corporate and broker sessions.
What’s My Domain Worth?
Always a fun session. Experienced domainers and brokers evaluate domains in real time. We imagine they will review some names suggested in the chat.
How Do We Make The Internet Better From Here?: A Fireside Chat With Tucows CEO Elliot Noss
Elliot has been in the industry for decades and has experience and perspective that few can match.
There are also workshops and breakout sessions everyday focusing on domain value, investing, legal issues and other topics. On Thursday and Friday there is also a separate stream of content for domain investors in South Asia.
While it’s not the same as being together in person, it’s still a great opportunity to chat with other people in the industry on the NamesCon platform. Tickets are still available and are only $79.
