Where Are They Now? Holiday Domains Edition

It’s that time of year! Shopping malls get crowded, twinkling lights adorn hallways and window sills, and sales pop up online and in-store in preparation for the holiday season.

We at DomainAgents saw this as the perfect opportunity to have a look at a few holiday domain names and see what’s happening with them now!

Christmas.com

The domain currently points to a relatively empty site with a few simple words on it: “Coming soon! Be sure to bookmark this site, and check back with us.” Will there be an e-commerce, or perhaps Black Friday related website up at some point? Perhaps a Christmas-related game, filled with candy canes, elves, and reindeer? Only time will tell. Update: It looks like it is being redirected to ChristmasCentral.com now! This could just be an affiliate referral though.

BlackFriday.com

Speaking of Black Friday, if you think you’ve missed out on pre-Christmas deals, you may be in luck. If you’re still hoping to get a great deal, check out BlackFriday.com for a rundown of sales in various categories including Clothing, Cookware, and of course, Electronics.

CyberMonday.com

If you’re still on the hunt and looking to buy laptops, tablets, or phones at a reduced price, check out CyberMonday.com. They offer an aggregate of online deals in other categories as well, such as Beauty, Health, and Clothing.

Hanukkah.com

When you type Hanukkah.com into your navigation bar, you end up getting redirected to an Amazon.com page. Unfortunately, no dreidels or menorahs in sight.

Kwanzaa.com

Kwanzaa.com points to a simple website with a few descriptive paragraphs about Kwanzaa, its history, when it is celebrated, and its main principles.

Ramadan.com

It appears this domain may be for sale, for anyone interested!

Festivus.com

For those who do not celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, there’s Festivus, a secular holiday celebrated on December 23rd as an alternative to the pressures and commercialism that are generally associated with the winter holiday season. Festivus.com does not currently point to a functional website, but may be for sale.

NewYears.com

Can’t wait for the ball to drop? Check out the handy New Year’s Eve countdown clock on NewYears.com. While you’re there, check out some upcoming New Year’s Eve events and parties throughout the United States.

Easter.com

Looks like Hallmark is making great use of Easter.com, as the domain currently points to a Hallmark page featuring Easter cards, gifts, and ornaments.

Halloween.com

If you find yourself waiting all year long to start carving pumpkins and rewatching “The Addams Family”, Halloween.com is “The One Source for All Things Halloween!”

Thanksgiving.com

What better time is there than Thanksgiving to get together with loved ones and give thanks for everything we have in our lives? Thanksgiving.com currently redirects to Makeitgrateful.com, an online collection of new recipes, DIY ideas, wellness tips, and more – who wouldn’t be thankful for these?

ValentinesDay.com

The domain may be available for sale, for anyone interested!

MothersDay.com and FathersDay.com

Just like ValentinesDay.com, it looks like MothersDay.com and FathersDay.com may both be available for sale. If you are considering starting a blog or business based on these special occasions, it’s worth considering getting a hold of these domains.
