Free.Games Tops Recent New TLD Sales

While .com domain name sales still rule the top of the charts in terms of volume and value, for example, Nursing.com reportedly sold for $950,000 just last week and Voice.com is making headlines over the past few days with it’s $30 million dollar sale, don’t count out new TLDs. New TLD domains that exact match valuable terms like ‘home.loans’ or ‘vacation.rentals’  have reportedly sold for large amounts and while these big sales are less frequent, they are worth making note of. Here are a few recent headline making sales:

Free.games @ $335,000 USD on 2019-05-26

This sale made headlines in the domaining industry recently as one of the biggest new TLD sales reported publically to date.

Business.club @ $60,936 USD on 2019-04-2

The domain doesn’t currently resolve to a functioning website, but has potential to be used in any business-related endeavours.

Swipe.io @ $68,000 USD on 2019-06-10

Technically, .io is a country code TLD, but this is still noteworthy. We’ve previously commented on the rising interest in .ai and .io domain names.

Going back a bit further, these two sales also made headlines when announced:

Home.loans @ $500,000 USD on 2018-01-21

This record sale was reported in 2018, and the domain now points to a website aimed at helping customers with, unsurprisingly, home loans.

Vacation.rentals @ $500,300 USD on 2017-12-04

Topping the charts at just over half a million USD, this domain now points to a website geared towards vacation rentals.

Not bad at all!
